What happens if I go over my booked time?
Please contact us to check availability before extending your session. Unauthorized overtime will incur charges at the full hourly rate.
Can I extend my session if I need more time?
Yes. Contact us to confirm availability, then you can purchase extra time at a discounted rate using the QR code on the studio door.
How do I get to Studio Kin?
Studio Kin is at 35 Meadow Street, Brooklyn, NY 11206, Unit 207. Take the L to Grand Street, the B43 to Graham Avenue and Scholes Street, or the Q54 to Grand Street and Waterbury Street.
What equipment is included with my booking?
Every rental includes professional lighting, stands, modifiers, a white seamless backdrop, a changing area, steamer, and vanity station. See The Studio page for the complete equipment list.
Are there changing facilities?
Yes. The studio includes a collapsible changing tent, seven feet high by three feet wide.
Is there Wi-Fi available?
Yes. Connect to the WRKART - Community network. No password is required, though you may need to accept the Terms of Service.
What are your backdrop policies?
A white backdrop is provided free of charge. Additional colors are available for a fee. Please do not change backdrops without prior authorization.
Are there restroom facilities?
Yes. There are restrooms on each floor, including two lockable facilities on the second floor. As this is a shared building, maintenance may occasionally be beyond our control.
What are the security procedures?
Always lock the door when leaving by tapping the padlock icon. Failure to secure the door will result in a fine.
Do you offer any additional equipment rentals?
We offer add-ons including extra seamless backdrops, studio flash, microphones, and specialty attachments. Let us know what your production needs.
What are the lighting conditions like?
Large east-facing factory windows provide abundant daylight and beautiful sunrise golden-hour light. Professional continuous lighting is also available for consistent results in any weather.
